Welcome to St Thomas'! We are a small, but growing, church in the heart of the Groves area of York. We are committed to reaching out into our local community – serving people who are in need, and above all showing God’s love as best we can. We want to celebrate what God is doing in this wonderful part of His world.

Although we normally meet together each Sunday at 10.30am, and we hope that people find our gatherings welcoming, family-friendly, and full of God’s presence, because of the coronavirus pandemic we are not able to meet in person but instead are moving online and making other provisions for pastoral support.

If you live in this part of York, you can be assured that we are praying that God will richly bless you and that you will know his love and goodness in your life.

St Thomas News - 19th November 2019

Dear all,

An early email this week so that I can remind you of a number of things:

On Thursday, 1.45pm is the funeral (in church) for Delphine Bell.

On Saturday, 8.30am is the Men's Breakfast - this time a chance to talk about our men's events and outreach in the future, so please do come and join the discussion.

On Sunday at 9.30am is a Family Breakfast - a chance to invite families from Babes and Tots and others to come and have breakfast and then join in with the All Age service. Please let Charlotte know if you could help to serve from 9am (email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

Also this week, on Friday, Anna Lindley (from St Michael le Belfrey) has a spare ticket to go with her to a dinner and information evening in Ilkley to find out about the work of TLG, a Christian education charity. They run the Make Lunch scheme where churches provide lunches for families on free school meals during the holidays.
Please let me know if you would like to go with Anna.

Saturday 30th November is the Wreath-Making event (flyer attached) - booking required, contact Jo for more details

The flyer with other Christmas events is also attached, and I hope the cards for delivery in the parish will arrive before Sunday.

Hope to see you soon,

Al
